Jan Marie von Giebelhausen's extensive background within the international fashion markets has provided her with the perfect platform for her London based couture business.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, to a large, closely knit family, she trained in fashion design and landed herself a well-placed design post with a local firm giving her opportunities to travel and work abroad. Jan Marie was then further able to develop her creative skills in the sewing rooms of some of the world's most exclusive fashion houses, whilst later pursuing a successful international modelling career in New York, Milan, Paris and London. Learning the almost lost techniques of hand beading, embroidery and hand finishing, while being endlessly fitted for couture shows, Jan Marie soon realised the importance of combining comfort with style, something she now insists on in every piece she creates.

It was in Paris that she launched her first small luxe collections, selling within the industry. Her move to London saw her designs snapped up in the West Village and The L Boutique in trendy Notting Hill, and by Musa in Kensington.

The loyal support for her work in London has also allowed her to diversify and create her signature style of individual pieces designed specifically for her clients. Working from her portfolio drawings and hand-selected samples, Jan Marie's originality of design and her sublime use of traditional skills makes her the perfect choice of designer for those looking for elegant and exquisite bridal or evening wear.

Some of her clients have included Patsy Kensit, Lili Dent-Brocklehurst, Princess Corrina Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, Kelly Hoppen, Rossella Jardini, Managing Director of Moschino SpA, and designer Savannah Miller. Jan Marie's designs have been featured in Conte Nast Brides, Vogue, Hello!, House & Garden and You Magazine in Britain and in Paris' Jeune et Jolie, Milan's Grazia and Warsaw's Pani.
